OCW Educator: Instructor Insights
OCW Educator: Instructor Insights
Many MIT instructors share their teaching approaches in a special section of their OCW courses, called “Instructor Insights.” In this section, you’ll find instructors discussing topics of interest to practicing teachers, such as course design, active learning, and engaging learners. You’ll also find course-specific information and infographics on the following topics to help you map the materials to your own curriculum:
pre-requisites
the classroom space
assessment practices
how student time was spent
how the instructor sequenced assignments and activities
Instructors share these insights through the OCW Educator project, a faculty-inspired initiative designed to pull back the curtain on MIT teaching for their colleagues at the Institute and around the world.
Direct links to course pages with Instructor Insights are listed below. Some courses do not contain Instructor Insights, but still offer valuable information for educators seeking to use OCW course materials in their classrooms. Links to these resources can be found at the bottom of this page.
